Orly Nail Polish in Rage

Orly Nail Polish in Rage

Don't you just love finding a hidden treasure tucked in a spot it's not suppose to be?! I found this polish stowed away in the back of the Butter London polishes. I thought, 'what a stunning rose gold!!' then I remembered seeing this in a few youtube videos. It was the last one in the store so I grabbed it :]

This polish is a beautiful rose gold which you can probably tell by the pictures! It's super sparkly and metallic which is beautiful for the fall and holiday season...or really just anytime. Polish is pretty opaque- here I'm wearing one thick coat along with a base and top coat. It turned out pretty well! It also holds up great on the nails. This is my first Orly polish and I'm pretty impressed so far!

I really love rose gold polish and fell in love with Essies' Penny Talk. Penny Talk though doesn't hold up as well as this one and is more streaky/ hard to work with. I think that I like Orly Rage a little bit better :]

So, so stunning!

I paid 8.00 USD at Ulta for mine.
You can find it at Ulta.com here.
And they usually have weekly coupons or buy 2 get one free

Questions, comments, and advice is very welcome!

Who's ready for the week?!
I'm so excited for Thanksgiving but I'm also working overtime this week. I'll miss out on black Friday but at least I have cyber Monday! I'm just going to have to roll with it :]

Michael Todd : Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner

Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner

I purchased the Anti-Aging regime from Micheal Todd when they were having a sale. I wanted to test the products for a while before I wrote any kind of review (see the eye cream review- here). Unfortunatly I may not write reviews on everything since a few of the products started purging my 'already broken out skin'. Those will probably go to my mother since I'm scared to use them again!

Today though I wanted to talk about the Cranberry Antioxidant Toner. I think I can write a thorough review and answer any questions since I have been faithfully using this twice a day since the beginning of summer :]

I use this toner twice a day after I wash my face and I use a super soft cotton pad to apply the product. This gets the extra dirt and grim off my face/skin- you would be surprised! My face-wash usually gets my skin clean but when I wake up I also use this on my neck and décolleté- that's when you can really see how well this toner gets off all that extra dirt and grime (I might take a yucky photo for this)! I don't ever wear a full face of makeup so I am unsure how well this works if you did. I don't notice any skin brightening but my face feels a lot more clean and balanced.

Another thing I love about this toner is that is not harsh at all. Harsh things on my face tend to break me out. I love that this product does not inflame my acne any more than it already is. Thank goodness! I know some toners can be drying.  This toner is not overly drying or overly moisturizing. It's the perfect balance for my skin.

I love that this product lasts! I've been using this 2 times everyday for going on about 6 months! I think the price is great for the amount of product you receive. I also love that this is organic :]

I'm definitely keeping this in my skincare routine. I plan on repurchasing this toner or the Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner (I have heard many good things about that one as well).
Mine came in a set but sold separately it is18.00 USD here.
I know some youtubers have a link that can give you up to 20% off your entire purchase. Tati (glamlifeguru) has a link in a few of her favorites videos.

Working out in the great outdoors : Grandfather Mountain- NC

Fall is the absolute perfect time to hike! There is so much color! Unfortunately, now the leaves are dropping fast and the color is fading. Lately I've enjoyed running at dusk when the air is crisp. It's so refreshing! But a few weeks ago we decided to finish up the second half of Grandfather mountain here in NC along the Blue Ridge.  We chose to hike the Profile trail which does link up with the actual Grandfather trail towards the end (it costs 18$ to hike the Grandfather trail which is ridiculous so we turned around and did this trail).

We hiked a total of 7 miles in the cold! I think we picked the coldest day of the week. Luckily we dressed appropriately cause we definitely saw the first snow of the season!

 Looking very fashionable ;P

A view along the way! Do you see the face??

It start to flurry on our way up and the temperature was dropping fast. Then we hit the snow line :]

It was absolutely serene. Cold but beautiful. And look at this trail! I got the perfect leg workout going up these rocks.

After a long way up we finally reached the highest peek in the Blue Ridge! :D :D

I have to admit I felt pretty hard core hiking up a mountain in the snow :]

The wind at the top was so powerful and ice cold that we stayed up there for maybe... 5 minutes max trying to capture a photo without falling off the cliff. We scurried back down the ladder and tried warming up. I had five layers on, gloves, and a hat but I still couldn't feel my hands or feet. It started snowing harder on our way back. Luckily we made it just as it fell dark.

I may be crazy but I can't wait for our next hike this fall!! I like this much better than the gym.

How do you keep fit in the colder seasons?!

Questions, comments, and advice is welcome! Have a great weekend everyone!

Avon : Mark High Volume Mascara in Evergreen

A coworker of mine started selling Avon and since she was just starting out I decided to go ahead and try something. I've heard good things about the Avon makeup line but I was still skeptical.

I've always wanted to try a colored mascara so when I saw this evergreen one on sale I just had to try it :]

I think the evergreen shade is a great color for the cold weather months and fast approaching holiday season. I was slightly concerned about the color actually showing up on the lashes. The darker green does make it less noticeable, unfortunately. You do have to look closer or catch the right light to notice that the mascara is actually green... It really doesn't bother me too too much since I know it's green :]

The brush on this macsara is really nice! The mascara is on the wet side but the brush makes it easy to apply, look good, and prevent clumping. I have long, (kind of) thick, lashes and this can make them look slightly sparse so you do have to run the brush through your lashes a few times or remove access mascara on the brush. I find brushing through them a few times does the trick. This also does fabulous on the lower lashes.

The formula is long wearing and I don't have any smudging throughout the day. Yay! This makes me happy. I tend to like waterproof mascara though since I'm usually without an umbrella and you never know when your going to cry. This mascara does run when it gets wet since it isn't waterproof.

I purchased mine through Avon on sale for about 4.00 USD. You can find this mascara on the Avon website here for 11.00 USD

Will be repurchasing this if it goes on sale again! Really want to try the new wine color :]
I would also like to try more Avon but I have so many other makeup products on my wishlist that I may hold off for a bit.

Any suggestions for a good colored mascara?

Happy Thursday everyone! Questions and comments are welcome!

Butter London : Brown Sugar

Butter London Brown Sugar

In a recent post, I purchased my first Butter London polish and then I mentioned I bought a few more shortly after. These are a sweet little luxury for me :] and I just had to pick up this color for fall! I saw this color recommended by a few youtubers which also persuaded me.

This color is just beautiful! It's a beautiful Merlot color with stunning bronze and gold glitter of different sizes. There is so much glitter that it makes this polish even more opaque. I think this color combined with a bottle of jam packed glitter makes this polish very unique and sparkly :]

On my nails I am wearing a base coat, topped with one coat of Brown Sugar, and a top coat to bring out the sparkle. This also looks lovely over a darker polish like a deep burgundy!

I purchased mine at Ulta for 15.00 USD

Questions, comments, and advice is welcome! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend :]

Target Haul : Dress #3 OOTD

Xhilaration Juniors Sleeveless Sweetheart Dress in Black Floral

I picked up this third dress on the clearance rack at my local Target and I couldn't be happier :]
I think this dress is perfect for fall and could definitely be styled for cooler weather. I just wore this dress (actually this outfit) over the weekend on a date. It looked super cute and casual which is what I was going for. For some reason I feel the need to dress down on dates... maybe I just want to save my best outfits for later on :]

I can't touch my toes haha!
I wanted this outfit to be casual and cold weather appropriate so I paired this black floral dress with black leggings, a simple black cardigan from Zara, polka-dot burgundy socks, and black Rampage ankle booties from Belks. I'm not sure I love the look of these Rampage booties but boy they sure are comfy and I guess that's what matters!

For my date I also layered a green leather jacket over my cardigan and added a burgundy scarf.

My beautiful and lovely friend got me this stunning mixed metal chain bangle from the greatergood.com for my birthday!
The colors are perfect for fall and make matching this with any outfit easy. Not to mention these purchases go towards something good... like preserving the rainforest :] depending on which category you shop.

I love the front of this dress. It has a slight sweetheart neckline and small silver clasps that run all the way to the waist. Another thing I love about this dress is that in the back of the straps there is a button and 2 holes so you can decide where to put the neckline. For tall girls this is perfect!! In the back at the top there is a nice stretchy material which makes for an easy fit.

I scored this dress for half price: 12.48 USD at Target.

You can find it here at Target.com
It doesn't seem to be half price on the site though :/ but it also comes in different colors

Hope everyone has a lovely week!
