Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof in My Boyfriend's Jeans

I've been on the hunt for a pretty cobalt blue eyeliner. I had a beautiful blue NYX slide-on pencil but it just wouldn't stay on my lids (review coming soon). I needed something better and reasonably priced. Lo and behold I found it!!

I hadn't ever tried anything from the Sephora brand and I was slightly skeptical picking up a product I hadn't done too much research on. Glad I did though because I was pleasantly surprised...

This pencil wears well! Stays on your lids through out the day. Even after a long day at work, the liner is perfectly in place without any smudging- that makes me one happy girl! No liner down the cheeks (that's always embarrassing) or up by your brows. Not as waterproof as I would liked- still have to reapply after a quick shower.

Smooth, soft, and creamy so that it doesn't tug at the eye area- Comparable to Urban Decays 24/7 Glide-on eye pencils and half the price. Dries fast so if you want to smudge you have to do it right after application.

My boyfriend's jeans is a really pretty cobalt blue with a slight sheen. Great pigmentation. Not too dark and light enough to tell it's a blue liner on your lids. Pretty much just the perfect Sapphire blue :]

Retails for a whopping 9.00 USD
I picked mine up at a Sephora store but they are also available online at Sephora.com

So far I've enjoyed wearing this liner with a natural eye look. It really makes the blue pop! Below I paired this blue liner with golden and bronze-y shadows (MACs Patina in the crease, Stila Kitten on the lid, and Urban Decays Smog blended into the outer V and crease)

Please feel free at ask questions! Who's ready for the weekend?!

Wildfox - Breakfast Oversized Sweatshirt

As mentioned in my previous Wildfox outfits I went a little crazy on Hautelook during their Wildfox sale! I didn't realize how much I would like this sweatshirt. I think it's so pretty and whimsical! I've been wearing it with everything and anything. I throw it over shirts, tanks, and even my white lacy dresses. It's been absolutely perfect for chilly summer nights and freezing cold restaurants :]

It's a pretty pale pink color with a strawberry ice cream cone print. The sweatshirt material appears to be worn and gives off that 'vitage feel'. The inside is almost like a distressed terry cloth. It's light and comfy. Runs big- I'm wearing an XS in the pictures.
Here I just threw it over my other wildfox outfit from my previous post

I wore this on my long roadtrip to IL and on my way up there we always stop at Graeter's in Dayton, OH.
Graeter’s
Graeter’s
Graeter’s
. They have the best icecream ever! It is to die for! They got a kick out of this sweatshirt. What better place to where your ice cream sweatshirt than to an ice cream shop? :]
If your lucky, some specialty grocery stores carry Graeter's icecream. Or if you're ever passing through Ohio make sure to stop at a Graeter's because you wont be sorry!

Purchased my sweatshirt for 52.00 USD on Hautelook.com

Have a lovely week! Questions, comments, and advice is welcome!

Michael Todd Anti Aging Regime : Intensive Organic Eye Cream

Since so many of my favorite youtubers were raving about this brand, I decided to go out on limb and get  some good skincare products since I continue to battle with acne. I enjoy watching Tati (glamlifeguru) on youtube and she had given out a 20% off your entire purchase link which also gave me a reason to give Micheal Todd a try.

I want to focus on the eye cream since that is the only one I have used up completely. I have some mixed reviews about this entire regimine but this could be because I didn't get the acne regime like I should have with my oily acne-prone skin. As of now the serum, moisturizer, and face mask break out my skin. After I purchased the set I did hear it purges the skin a bit. Honestly this is something I don't feel like doing. In most cases when my skin purges, my acne sticks around for months and months. Full reviews will be coming soon!

I actually really love this eye cream. It's silky, smooth, and absorbs really well into my skin. Its' easy to spread with my fingers. I didn't notice a real change in the crows feet I'm starting to get at the corners of my eyes but I did notice that this brightened up the entire under eye area making my dark circles appear slightly lighter. The blue and purple seemed to be toned down. I used this twice a day and it worked lovely under concealer.

First complaint is about Michael Todds' packaging. The purple shiny containers are really sleek, elegant, and pretty sitting on my bathroom counter BUT
1. You can't see or feel how much product you've used.
2. everything has a pump so in most cases it dispenses too much product.
3. This eye cream was hard to get out at first. I called and they told me a trick to get it working: turn it upside down in warm water for something like10 minutes then try to pump it again. Mine worked fine after that.

My second complaint about this eye cream is that it seems like you don't get a whole lot of product. This could be due to the pump dispensing too much product when I would only need a tiny bit. I only used this for approximately 2 months or less until it was completely gone. My other eye creams tend to last a lot longer.

Micheal Todd does has amazing customer service! My mom couldn't get her eye cream  to work so they sent her a brand new one. The service was outstanding and everyone was so nice. I think overall they are a good, trustworthy, company. Another great thing about their products is that they are “Made in the U.S. with certified organic ingredients, without added water and free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance or artificial dyes.”

Retails for 38.00 USD when sold separately
www.michaeltoddtrueorganics.com

I would love to repurchase but for the price and the amount of product you get I unfortunately will not. I will stick to my other eye cream or continue to try other brands

Have you tried Micheal Todd? What are your thoughts?
Hope everyone is having a lovely week!

Wet N Wild trio in I'm Getting Sunburned

Wet N Wild trio in I'm Getting Sunburned

I'm still in summer-time mode! It's the hottest month of the season so far so I've definitely got summer on my mind.  The name of this palette always suckers me in when it's a hot day outside. The colors are quite beautiful together! Each shadow is pigmented and easy to blend. A very easy palette to work with. The colors are versatile enough to create numerous looks. Really enjoy this trio :]

Here's a back shot of the packaging. It gives you some direction on where to place the colors. I personally love mixing it up! I love applying this beautiful pink color to the lids- so gorgeous!

Lighting can really affect eye shadow color so to give you an idea the above photo was taken in artificial lighting.

Artificial lighting

Pink : A beautiful pink with a hint of a blue sheen. Slightly sheer but easy to build. I prefer applying this wet to really make the color vibrant and pop.
Brown : A deep neutral brown with gold glitter. Gold glitter is not visible on the lids after blending. Soft and easy to blend. Extremely pigmented. You can see in the pictures below how this deep brown blended with the pink creates a beautiful, cool, purple-ish brown color.
Gold : A bright orange-y yellow  gold. Pigmented, soft, and smooth.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Luster in Pouty

I've always wanted to try a lip stain because at work I don't have the time or privacy to keep reapplying my lip products. I was gifted this a while back but just recently found it neatly tucked away in one of my make-up drawers. Don't you love discovering new products you forgot you had!

The box mentions that it is a stain. And other websites like Sephora mention it is a 'natural stain' that lasts throughout the day giving you color, shine, and moisture. So, lets see how it measures up!

First off, I was surprised at how much I loved this color! Its' a really pretty strawberry pink with silver glitter. The glitter is visible on the lips but not uncomfortable/ gritty. Has a beautiful shine! Nicely pigmented. It is soft, smooth, and really easy to apply. Slightly minty and tingles the first time I applied it. One of the few lip products that doesn't leave my lips parched. Packaging is lovely and has a twist bottom so you don't have to worry about sharpening. I've done some reading and I think that the tube is only half full so you don't get a whole lot of product... at least for the price you pay.

The second day I wore this for an interview and came back around 2 or so hours later. Most of the product had worn off but the color had given my lips a healthy glowing tint. I think Pouty is the perfect color for my warm skin-tone.

Another thing I love about this product is the care they took with the ingredients :]

Retails for 24.00 USD.

These Tarte lip stains are kind of expensive! If I wasn't gifted this I probably wouldn't have went out of my way to purchase. But I'm so absolutely in love with this color! It goes with everything and sometimes it's hard to find a color that really looks good on me. Plus, I'm a big fan of moisturizing my lips and with this I don't have to worry about uncomfortably dry lips afterwards- YAY! I will definitely repurchase this product when I use it up! I just hope I can get it on sale haha :]

Hope you all had a great weekend!

A Favorite Hair Product! : Mythic Oil by L'Oreal Professional

A Favorite Hair Product! :
Mythic Oil by L'Oreal Professional

I haven't talked too much about hair products on here because... 1. Everyone's hair is different 2. because it takes me a while to test a hair product fully (at least a year) and 3. because my hair routines are lengthy and a lot of the products I use are hard to find

But alas! This product is not so hard to find
I was so sad when my other hair oil was discontinued but this Mythic Oil by L'Oreal is almost an identical replacement

First lets get into my hair type:
My hair is naturally curly/wavy; curls/ringlets in the front and waves in the back. It is dry and frizzy- so dry that I can go 4 days without a wash. My hair is fairly thin and since it's thin, it is more prone to spit ends and damage. My hair is also long and just past my bust area. When I style my hair (I limit myself to once a week) I will blow dry it and on really special days I'll use a flat iron as well.

The Product and how I use it:
This makes my hair more manageable, less frizzy, and super soft! It also adds a little shine. You can imagine my curly hair doesn't particularly like being blow dried so this keeps my frizz in check. I always use this after a shower when my hair is damp and I plan on blow drying/styling my hair. Since my hair is thin I use one pump and smooth it all over my hair focusing on my ends. You can also use this on dry hair as well.

This oil is extremely lightweight and doesn't make your hair look weighted down, oily, or greasy. But remember this is an oil so if you over do it, it can look slightly oily. It's definitely not as heavy as something like coconut oil and this doesn't break me out like coconut oil either :]

This oil smells soooo good and makes your hair smell amazing! It's a very fresh and fruity scent :]

I've been using the Mythic Oil for about a year now and I've been one very pleased girl. I haven't even finished half the bottle either and I've been using it at least once a week. I think it will last me a long time and I can't complain there!

Retails in the 20$ range. Mine was purchased at my salon.

Questions, comments, and advice is welcome! Hope everyone started their week off right :D

OOTD : Wildfox Tour Eiffel Hippie Crew Tee

More outfits from my wildfox haul. I took all of it to my grandpas for my month long summer trip in IL :]

As I mentioned in my previous post I purchased all my wildfox tops on Hautelook at half price during their Wildfox event. Never owned a wildfox tee but I'm glad I jumped on the chance to get a few! They are so incredibly soft. I want to live in these. Even if they looked horrible I'd wear them haha! Runs a size or two large. Pictured is a small. I wanted the rose jumper but I was at least able to grab this rose print Eiffel tower top. I think the print is really dainty and girly- love.

Purchased for 29.00 USD

Shorts are from JCPenney . I show them in a precious blog post : here.
